Sphragis ("we", "our", or "us") is made by Sylphi, LLC. Privacy is load-bearing for this practice. This policy describes exactly how the Sphragis app handles your information.

Your workings stay on your device

Sphragis is a local-only, single-user, on-device app. Your sigils, statements of intent, charge records, diary entries, and settings are stored locally on your device and never leave it. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync, and no backend that holds your data.

Anonymous usage analytics

Sphragis sends anonymous usage events to a first-party Sylphi endpoint — for example, which generation method you used and whether an audit returned a hit, miss, partial, or ambiguous result. These events are used solely to understand how the practice tool is being used. They contain:

No personal information.
No content from your statements of intent, sigils, or diary.
No device identifiers and no advertising identifiers.

No third-party analytics SDKs are included. No advertising networks. No crash-reporting services that transmit data off your device.

No tracking, no ads

Sphragis does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the iOS App Tracking Transparency / advertising identifier, and never shows ads. Aside from the purchase-management service described below, there are no third-party SDKs that phone home.

Purchases

Sphragis offers optional in-app purchases — a one-time "Complete Workbook" unlock and an optional tip jar. If you choose to buy, your payment is processed by Apple under your Apple ID; we never see your payment details. To deliver your purchase and restore it across your devices, purchase records — which product you bought and Apple's receipt — are handled by RevenueCat, a third-party purchase-management service acting on our behalf. These records contain no statement-of-intent content, no diary entries, and no personal profile — only what is necessary to confirm what you have unlocked. Once purchased, the unlock works offline.

Device permissions

Sphragis requests permissions only when you initiate the related feature:

Photo Library (save) — used only when you export a finished sigil to your Photos. The image is written to your library at your request; nothing is read from it.
Network — used to send the anonymous usage events described above and to process and restore in-app purchases.

Sphragis does not record audio or use the microphone (a system declaration may appear for an audio-playback component used for charge cues, but no recording occurs). It does not access your camera, location, contacts, or any other device sensor.

Children's privacy

Sphragis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you are always in control of it. You can destroy any individual working from within the app, and you can permanently remove all app data at any time by uninstalling Sphragis.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, communicated through an app update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
